Toffy’s Domes is the name of Nifemi Aluko’s first digital collectible collection. He created Toffy’s Domes to experiment at the intersection of storytelling and web3 with the hope of bringing to life his ambitions of building a community around his creative, storytelling, business, and economic development passions using NFT technology and their smart contract capabilities. Toffy’s Domes NFT is a collection of 405 digital tokens based off Nifemi Aluko’s award-winning dystopian novel, Toffy’s Divide – a dystopian tale about self-determination and empowerment in a world of 2049 where consolidated control and class division is at a peak. The protagonist, Toffy, and his crew use their storytelling skills to challenge the dominant norms of conformity and technological control. Each token in the collection is a unique motif about bridging gaps in our communities with the tool of storytelling. Musta’s Mixtape is the next book that will be published in the Toffy’s Domes series.

Each new pass purchased will be used to bring Musta’s story to life.

Each pass holder, will get a copy of a physical book when Musta’s Mixtape ship.

You also get to be part of the writing and publishing process, along with your name in the acknowledgment of the book.

Musta’s Mixtape publishes in the summer of 2024.

This project allows the intellectual property around the message of boosting economic empowerment and reducing income inequality to live forever in a decentralized manner on the blockchain.

This collection is inspired by Toffy’s Divide, an award winning sci-fi novel by Nifemi Aluko. Nifemi never planned to be an author. He found a way to incorporate writing into his life while running his business and pursuing other interests. Nifemi wants to share his approach towards writing through his books and his online community. Both of which, Toffy’s Domes Pass holders get access to.

Once you choose a tier and purchase your pass(es), you’ll have your digital pass in your wallet (crossmint will create one for you with your email address and credit card purchase).

You will then join the Toffy’s Domes community here, where you get access to exclusive content and your physical books when they ship.

Each package gives you a certain number of books and access to exclusive content and community.

Funds from the campaign will be used to cover costs for developing, editing, and publishing the next book in the series.

The price of each tier is used to support book development, community management, and cover shipping costs

Gas fee is the term given to transaction fees on the Ethereum blockchain network. Gas is like “the fuel that allows the [Ethereum network] to operate, in the same way that a car needs gasoline to run.”

The gas fees go to crypto miners whose computers are used to validate blocks of transactions on the Ethereum blockchain network.

Although the digital pass to Musta’s Mixtape and the community is in the ethereum Blockchain, we wanted to give the options to purchase it with either your crypto wallet or just a credit/debit card.

This might be the first time for a few supporters to get a digital collectibles.

Purchasing through crossmint (payment partner) creates a wallet for your purchase (all you need is an email address to get access).

The plan is to ship out physical copies of Musta’s Mixtape by summer 2024.

The biggest challenge with publishing a book is delivering the finished book to the backer, specifically my mailing of the book to you. I have eliminated this risk by including the cost of mailing and shipping the signed copies into each pre-order tier.

The risk of delivering the pre-sale copies of my book is contingent on the publisher and printer we use.

I started NapoRepublic Press to fully integrate my publishing process and to make sure we ship the pre-order rewards to you as early as possible.

We will keep all pre-sale backers up-to-date as to when my book will be published. You will know when the copies of my book you pre-ordered are expected to ship.

There is also the risk of people not joining the community to claim their perks.

We will try our best to make sure everyone that participates in the presale gets all the perks they subscriber to, but we will need all the backers to also be responsive to requests such as (joining the community and filling out their physical addresses to get their books shipped).

There are 405 unique digital art pieces in this collection. The initial artwork was inspired by the cover design for Toffy’s Divide. With a combination of 5 different traits, each art piece is unique with motifs symbolizing the type of divide within one of seven chosen cities, and the storytelling tool used to bridge that divide. Each pass is not only access to a book and writing community. It is part of a cultural identity. A stamp in your digital identity that proves your identity as someone that saw the immediate benefits of supporting independent storytelling and being early in the author’s journey.

That’s fine. You don’t have to claim all the books. Once we complete the pre-sale process for the book, we will cover the cost of printing an equal amount of books. You can choose to claim one book and give the others to a friend, your community, or get it for your organization. Some people choose a certain tier just to get access to the community. Just let us know in the support channel and we will fulfill the order based on your needs.

The great thing is that you have access to the community. Once you get the token, it will give you access to the community. You can choose to join the community and participate in all the great writing resources available or not. It’s up to you.

You need the collectibles to get access to the community. This is how we verify that you made a purchase and can claim the physical merchandise (in this case, my books) that come with it. Plus you get to hold on to this pass forever as a sign of your participation.
